rag & bone is turning Japanese with their latest limited-edition capsule, created in collaboration with cult brand Bonum Japan.
The rag & bone X Bonum Japan capsule is a mashup of Bonum Japan’s deconstruction techniques and rag & bone brand tenets – American workwear, English inspired tailoring, military and sport. Known for using age old practices to redefine and re-build garments into fresh, cutting edge and bold fashion statements, the Bonum Japan approach aligns with rag & bone’s commitment to reinventing iconic styles.
Utilizing rag & bone deadstock, the Bonum Japan team have curated a mix of pieces that have been developed with the individual in mind. Each style in the collection is developed by hand, giving each item its own unique quality. With high quality Japanese denim at its core, the collaboration ranges across 12 styles including jackets, pants, shirting, sweatshirts and bags. The fusion of these contrasting silhouettes, fabrications and color, along with the re-construction process of Bonum Japan, makes for an eclectic offering.
The collection is exclusively launching in Tokyo, and will be animated through a dedicated pop up at Isetan Shinjuku. Following the initial launch, the limited product will be available to purchase at the brand’s Omotesando store, Ginza Six store, and Ginza Mitsukoshi store, before rolling out to the US market, available on rag-bone.com.
