'An Ordinary Day' 2025 Ad Campaign

Review of Saint Laurent ‘An Ordinary Day’ 2025 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello and Photographer Martin Parr with models Apolline Rocco Fohrer, Chantall Mccann, Laura Rylands, Li Cheng Yuan, and Lina Zhang

Saint Laurent embraces the eccentricities of the everyday in its Pre-Fall 2025 campaign, An Ordinary Day, conceived and art-directed by Anthony Vaccarello and shot by the legendary Martin Parr. A master of capturing kitsch and class in equal measure, Parr transforms mundane rituals into subversive fashion theater.

Set in a hyper-saturated, slightly surreal domestic scene, the campaign revels in British suburbia’s cluttered charm—complete with teacups, plastic grapes, and a dog in sunglasses. Models lounge around garden tables, sip from floral china, and pose beside bowls of costume jewelry and pineapple-upside-down cake, all while clad in Saint Laurent’s gleaming, jewel-toned tailoring and statement accessories. Parr’s lens, as ever, finds irony in indulgence and drama in routine.

Rather than idealizing its subjects, the campaign spotlights the beauty of banality with a knowing wink. It’s a welcome jolt of humor from a house that’s often associated with moody minimalism. The clothes—opulent, sculptural, unmistakably Saint Laurent—are made to stand out in the chaos of a lived-in world.

With Parr’s satirical sensibility and Vaccarello’s sleek silhouettes, “An Ordinary Day” finds glamour in the gaudy and luxury in the low-key. It’s fashion at its most tongue-in-cheek—sharp, self-aware, and a little bit absurd.
