Saint Laurent looks ahead to the Spring 2025 season with a bite-sized campaign starring the iconic and enigmatic Gwyneth Paltrow, who was captured by photographer David Sims.
With just three images, the campaign serves more to drive hype and engagement with a new vision on the brand’s website and social media channels than to build out the new season’s narrative. But with a somewhat surprising yet smart choice of star, the imagery plays that role perfectly. Sims captures Paltrow in the ornate corner of some baroque interior, looking effortlessly cool and classy in a black leather jacket and sunglasses or a voluminously cut tuxedo.
Anthony Vaccarello has a knack for picking muses to bring his vision to life that feel totally unexpected yet are nonetheless huge forces of pop culture, and perfectly fit within and expand the brand’s creative world. This micro campaign is an incisive and focused example of the impact of that practice.
