Review of Saint Laurent Spring 2 2025 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello and Photographer David Sims with model Zoe Saldaña
Zoe Saldaña embodies liquid sunlight in the latest campaign from Saint Laurent. The actor and muse was lensed by photographer David Sims.
Fresh off of her first Oscar nomination for Emilia Pérez, Saldaña brings an almost majestic energy as Sims captures her in a penthouse overlooking skyscrapers and waterways below. With the sun angling in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the portraits create a dynamic contrast of natural light, the fluid, organic forms of the dresses and jewelry, and the angular urbanism of the setting.
While the campaign doesn’t quite reach the same sense of indulgent cinematic grandeur that the brand often achieves with its campaigns, it does smartly carry forward Saint Laurent’s high-volume digital strategy. Rarely does a month go by that the brand doesn’t share a strong new set of visuals anchored by an impressive cast, and this campaign is another chapter in that tuned-in, high-velocity approach.
