Review of Saint Laurent Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello and Photographer David Sims with model Michelle Pfeiffer
Michelle Pfeiffer is the latest muse to join Saint Laurent’s Spring 2025 campaign series. The iconic actor was shot by photographer David Sims.
The campaign picks up the visual thread of the brand’s ongoing portrait series that has featured the likes of Zoe Saldaña, Austin Butler, and more, all photographed in the same location: a windowed corner high up in a skyscraper that overlooks the sweeping cityscape below. Pfeiffer takes total command of the narrative, however, bringing power and elegance in leather jackets and voluminous double-breasted suits inspired by Yves’ 80s archive.
Taken on their own, these individual chapters don’t feel like too much to write home about. As a series, however, they forma another extension of Saint Laurent’s smart approach to the digital content calendar. Rather than releasing the campaign imagery all at once, as might be done with a typical print format, the brand harnesses the rapid cadence of social media and can remain at the forefront of the feed across the entire spring marketing season, driving higher engagement numbers and further fleshing out its visual narrative.
