A revamped light show, festive windows and a Rockettes performance anchor the annual celebration

On November 24, 2025, Saks Fifth Avenue debuted its much-anticipated holiday light show and iconic seasonal windows, transforming Fifth Avenue into a luminous, multisensory destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike. The unveiling is the centerpiece of Holiday Your Way, the retailer’s 2025 campaign celebrating the many ways people embrace the season.
Kristin Maa, chief marketing officer of Saks Global, described the annual moment as a continuation of the brand’s legacy in New York. “The return of our holiday light show honors Saks Fifth Avenue’s legacy as a destination for extraordinary experiences that inspire connection,” she said, noting that this year’s display blends imaginative design, technical craft and a soundtrack meant to appeal across generations. “Our team is proud to bring this moment to life… and to continue this cherished tradition that has long blended our unique creative essence with the merriment of the New York City holiday season.”
The redesigned light show spans the façade in a new, state-of-the-art display featuring dozens of jewel-like ornaments—some towering nearly two stories tall. Mirrored surfaces, prismatic shapes, and kinetic lighting elements ripple across the building in sync with a musical medley that includes Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” and Rihanna’s “Diamonds.” Celestial graphics sweep overhead as the show reaches its finale, followed by a burst of fireworks to the beat of “New York Groove.”

This year, Saks partnered with the world-famous Rockettes, who brought their signature glamour directly from Radio City Music Hall to Fifth Avenue. Dressed in shimmering red “New York at Christmas” costumes and custom “Saks”-embellished hairpieces, the dancers performed highlights from the Christmas Spectacular, culminating in their iconic kick line before the grand window reveal. To honor the troupe’s centennial, Saks’ 49th Street windows display an archival selection of Rockettes costumes and sketches from past productions, including work by Vincente Minnelli and Bob Mackie.
The center six windows on Fifth Avenue present fantastical holiday scenes set across New York City: an ornament-filled Enchanted Atrium, a bakery of oversized Sweet Treats, a taxi bursting with gifts for Traveling Home, an opulent Big Night at the theater, a snowy Winter’s Dream in Central Park, and an Advent Townhouse that animates classic Manhattan architecture through a festive lens.
Additional windows along 49th and 50th streets showcase fashion from brands including Tom Ford, Max Mara, Michael Kors, Fendi, Valentino, Aknvas, Prabal Gurung, Brandon Maxwell, Giorgio Armani, and Alexander McQueen. Each vignette reflects how people interpret holiday dressing in their own way, encouraging shoppers to embrace their personal style.
Mastercard returns for the sixteenth year as sponsor of the holiday windows and light show. The full presentation is available to stream via Saks Live beginning November 25. The display will illuminate Fifth Avenue each evening through January 4, 2026.
