The Change Comes as Part of the LVMH-Owned Retailer’s Push to Further Incorporate AI and Digital Technology
Anca Marola has been appointed as the new Global Chief Digital Officer for Sephora, commencing her role on Feb. 12. As a member of the global leadership team of the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned retailer, Marola will report to Guillaume Motte, Sephora’s Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Marc Abergel in the position.

Marola, who joined LVMH in 2014, has a background in leading business intelligence, client, and customer experience at the company. She played a pivotal role in consolidating the group’s data strategy, implementing analytics and AI initiatives across the value chain. Her contributions include establishing the data academy and fostering a research partnership with Stanford HAI.
Before her tenure at LVMH, Marola began her career in consulting and consumer research at GFK. She holds a master’s in marketing from HEC Paris and completed the executive program in AI from MIT.
The announcement comes amid an increased push from Sephora to expand its use of digital and AI technology to integrate customer experience in physical and online retail settings across its global storefronts.
