Silvia Venturini Fendi to Design Co-Ed Fendi Show in February

The Accessories and Menswear Designer Steps Up as Womenswear Still Awaits a Creative Director Following Kim Jones’ Departure

Fendi will mark its 100th anniversary with a fashion show featuring both women’s and men’s collections during Milan Fashion Week in February 2025.

The design for the show is being spearheaded by Silvia Venturini Fendi, Fendi’s artistic director for accessories and menswear collections. Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, Fendi’s chief executive officer, reportedly informed the company’s teams about the event earlier this week.

The show will align with the reopening of Spazio Fendi on Via Solari in Milan. This space, Fendi’s longtime runway theater and showroom, has been under renovation.

Milan Fashion Week is scheduled to take place from Feb. 25 to March 3.

Fendi has not yet disclosed specific plans for its centennial celebrations amid several organizational shifts, including the departures of former CEO Serge Brunschwig and designer Kim Jones. Jones, who served as artistic director for haute couture, ready-to-wear, and fur collections, stepped down earlier this month. He will, however, continue as artistic director of Dior’s men’s collections.

Both Fendi and Dior are owned by French luxury conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Angeloglou, who took over from Brunschwig on June 1, reports to Sidney Toledano, an adviser to LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault.

Venturini Fendi is widely recognized for creating the iconic Baguette bag in 1997 and has led Fendi’s menswear design since 2000. She is the granddaughter of Adele Fendi, who established the brand in Rome in 1925 with a leather goods and luggage store.

Following the passing of Karl Lagerfeld in 2019, who had been with Fendi since 1965, Venturini Fendi took on a central creative role until Jones joined in late 2020. She also works closely with her daughter, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, who serves as jewelry creative director at the brand and was a key inspiration for Jones.
