The Opening of the Brand’s First Flagship Was Celebrated with a Star-Studded Party and Dinner

Skims welcomed the opening of its first flagship store on Fifth Avenue, New York City, celebrating the major milestone with a star-studded event. Held on December 12th, 2024, the celebration featured a party at the newly opened store followed by an exclusive dinner at ZZs Club.

The event was attended by a host of celebrities including Cardi B, Ciara, Paris Hilton, Ice Spice, Donovan Mitchell, La La Anthony, Teyana Taylor, and Ashley Graham, among others. The unveiling drew local notables and media, highlighting the brand’s significant impact and growth in the fashion industry.

At the flagship location at 647 Fifth Avenue, attendees experienced a live performance directed by Vanessa Beecroft, a longtime creative collaborator of Skims. The performance showcased models adorned in Skims’ Seamless Sculpt and Hosiery collections. They posed powerfully in the Fifth Avenue store windows and alongside a 15-foot sculpture at the entrance, designed by Beecroft. This performance echoed previous Skims campaigns and underscored the brand’s commitment to celebrating the beauty and strength of diverse body types.

Kim Kardashian, co-founder and chief creative officer, and Jens Grede, co-founder and CEO, both expressed their excitement about this new chapter in the brand’s journey. Kardashian noted, “This is a special milestone moment on the heels of the brand’s 5-year anniversary.”
