Swarovski captures the festive shimmer of the season with its Holiday 2024 campaign starring Ariana Grande. The pop icon was lensed by photographer duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.
The campaign follows Grande as she celebrates the arrival of the holiday season, journeying through a decadent and dreamlike nightclub setting where she is the star of the show. The photographs create a celebratory and cohesive palette through the all-over pink set design against which the elegant black-tie attire cuts a striking figure, while of course there is nary a square inch that isn’t aglow with the house’s iconic crystal jewelry.
Though it clocks in at just ten seconds, an accompanying video manages to capture an entire holiday odyssey thanks to some smart editing and the immersive atmosphere of the visual concept.
In addition to Grande’s strength as a performer, the casting is particularly smart given the impending release of the Wicked film adaptation in which she costars. The color palette of pink and crystal feels utterly Glinda-worthy, while the music and dance of the film wisely connects with the star’s talent.
Wisely tapping into both pop-culture excitement and the magic of the festive season while staying true to its own signature aesthetic, Swarovski crystallizes a distinct and dreamy holiday campaign.
