Summer Softness
System designer Hee Soo Kim’s latest collection, titled “Summer Love,” draws inspiration from the idea of first love and loss. Soft suits, fluid tailoring, monochrome modern suiting, fuzzy knits, and paper bag-waist pants were the highlights of the show. The neutral palette of creams, chocolate, and sand anchored the romantic collection.
This season marked a shift from Kim’s recent harder leather and structural looks. The collection featured softer shoulders, more voluminous sleeves, and wisps of layered fabric that billowed with each step. The textile used was meant to symbolize flower petals blowing away in the breeze.
