The Attico Opens First Retail Location in Ibiza

Debut store launches as part of ‘The Attico Floorplan’ concept, designed as a luxurious residential bathroom

The Attico has opened its first retail store in Ibiza, introducing a new experiential concept titled The Attico Floorplan. Designed to resemble a luxurious residential bathroom, the location marks the start of a room-by-room retail expansion across different cities, with each store shaped by the character of its setting.

“When we started The Attico, we christened our project choosing name of a domestic place, a penthouse, and the fantasies this entices,” said founders Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini. “Now that we are finally creating our own retail spaces, we can fully explore the idea of the ambience, and the atmosphere and narratives a place can convey.”

Dubbed The Bathroom, the Ibiza store reflects the island’s raw energy and sense of sensuality. A fully functional circular bathtub sits at the center of the space, surrounded by seamless Bisazza mosaic tiles in a buttery yellow tone. Materials such as raw cement, green onyx, travertine marble, brushed steel, velvet, and leather are layered throughout to create textural contrast and visual richness.

The store is structured as an immersive gallery, with each design element chosen to convey intimacy and transformation. Furnishings include vintage pieces such as a dark wood vanity set, Camaleonda and Soriana poufs, and olive-toned carpeting in the fitting room area. Lighting is kept soft and diffuse, balanced with natural sunlight entering through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Rather than replicate a traditional retail format, The Attico intends for each store to feel like a different room in a home. “Instead of traditional retail layouts that can be replicated wherever, thereafter, we are opting for a tailored concept in which every store is the room of a house, and the city in which it is hosted suggests which room,” the founders explained.

The Ibiza store is the first physical expression of this concept. Additional openings, each representing a different room within The Attico’s “diffused apartment,” are expected to follow in other global cities.
