Annual Tree Lighting and Retail Debut Mark Festive Kickoff
Sarah Wetenhall and Aerin Lauder hosted a cocktail party and ceremonial tree lighting at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. The event marked the start of the holiday season and introduced The Colony Edit, a curated retail collection at the hotel. Attendees included art collectors, designers, fashion figures, and other notable guests.
Located in the Living Room near the hotel lobby, The Colony Edit offers a selection of curated items. The collection reflects Palm Beach’s aesthetic and The Colony’s identity, providing visitors with merchandise, keepsakes, and exclusive collaborations. According to the hotel, the shop allows guests to experience “an authentic Palm Beach way of life” and take home items that are “distinctly Colony.” The shop features vacation essentials, apparel, accessories, and gifts. The Colony Edit will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting December 6, 2024.
Aerin Lauder returned to design the hotel’s holiday décor, drawing from her childhood experiences in Palm Beach with her grandparents, Estée and Joseph Lauder. Her design, through her AERIN brand, combines classic Palm Beach style with modern elements. Floral designer Lewis Miller also contributed, enhancing the space with his floral arrangements.
The guest list included: Sarah Wetenhall (Owner & CEO, The Colony Hotel), Aerin Lauder (Founder & Creative Director, AERIN), Alison Weiss, Amanda Polk, Bettina Anderson, Bozena Janisiw, Burgundy Caldwell-Waller, Danielle Rollins, Elena Silenok, Evan Kulman, Ira DeWitt, Jamie Singer Soros, Julia Amory, Kelly Klein, Kristin Smith, Lauren Remington Platt, Laura Sachs, Lelê Saddi, Lilia Zeldis, Logan Horne, Maribel Alvarez, Marissa Montgomery, Natalie Dawson, Nick Mele, Roosmarijn de Kok, Sarah Bray-West, Susan Magrino Dunning, and Tobi Tobin.
