Expanding Elegance: The Frankie Shop Brings Its Minimalist Charm to London’s Fashion Scene
The Frankie Shop, renowned for its minimalist aesthetic, is poised to expand its global presence with the opening of its first store in London in the early spring of 2024. The announcement was made by the brand’s French American founder Gaelle Drevet during a cocktail reception at Caviar Kaspia.
This new venture into the London fashion scene comes as a significant step for the brand, which has already established a strong presence in New York with stores in SoHo and the Lower East Side, and in Paris with two locations catering to its women’s, unisex, and men’s collections.
The Frankie Shop, known for its genderless and men’s pieces, made a notable entrance during last year’s men’s fashion week in Paris, introducing a 20-piece lineup. This collection featured resized bomber and quilted jackets among the brand’s bestsellers, along with new items such as tone-on-tone shirts, pants, and sweatshirts in jersey, all priced between $150 and $180.
Drevet’s brand has cultivated a dedicated following, with clients drawn to its muted tones and sculptural designs. The Frankie Shop’s success is reflected in its strong social media presence, boasting 1.3 million followers on Instagram and garnering attention from high-profile personalities like Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, and Lorde.
The upcoming London store’s exact location remains undisclosed as the brand awaits the departure of current tenants. This expansion signals The Frankie Shop’s commitment to broadening its footprint in the fashion world, bringing its unique blend of minimalism and contemporary style to a new audience in one of the world’s most vibrant fashion capitals.
