The New Store Is Located at the Town’s Historic Royal Poinciana Plaza Playhouse
Thom Browne has unveiled his new permanent boutique in the Royal Poinciana Plaza Playhouse in Palm Beach, Florida. Designed by the esteemed architect John Volk in the late 1950s, the Royal Poinciana Plaza is celebrated as a historic landmark and a pinnacle of Palm Beach’s architectural heritage. The plaza offers 180,000 square feet of luxury retail space amid lush gardens and two picturesque courtyards, positioning itself as a premier international shopping and leisure destination.
The new Thom Browne store spans 1,500 square feet and reflects the brand’s distinctive mid-century modern aesthetic. It hosts an extensive array of merchandise, including menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, accessories, beauty products, and home goods. The design features Browne’s characteristic slat blind-covered windows, here executed in wood, and an interior adorned with silver travertine stone walls and flooring. The store’s layout includes a wood-lined lattice ceiling with integrated lighting, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The retail space is divided into two main areas: one for ready-to-wear collections and another that showcases the brand’s eyewear, footwear, handbags, and beauty products, all framed within Browne’s signature design elements, including Maison Jansen and McCobb étagères and continuous metal railing.
To mark the opening of this new location, Thom Browne has collaborated with Sant Ambroeus to introduce a branded seersucker ice cream cart and host a private luncheon, celebrating with the local community.
