The strongest collections this season didn’t raise their voices — they refined their intentions. Across Paris, Milan, and even Dubai, designers redefined what power dressing can look like when it’s rooted in softness, precision, and emotional clarity. If there was one commonality throughout the collections that made our Top 10, it was this: fashion that resonates not through volume, but through vision.
From technicolor optimism to sun-faded subtlety, this was a season shaped by soft power. At Dries Van Noten, Julian Klausner delivered an exuberant debut that honored the house’s layered legacy while embracing new propositions with warmth and confidence. Zegna found poetry in quiet textures and loosened proportions — a recalibration of luxury that felt lived-in and deeply considered. Wales Bonner, marking a decade of cultural luxury, offered a wardrobe of heirloom intimacy, where every detail carried meaning.
Heritage wasn’t something to be repeated — it was something to be reimagined. This spirit carried through to Dior, where Jonathan Anderson introduced his vision not with shock, but with slow-burning precision. At Louis Vuitton, Pharrell pivoted to tailoring with a global gaze, introducing a new formalism grounded in storytelling rather than spectacle. These were not nostalgic gestures, but intentional evolutions.
Elsewhere, risk-taking felt personal. Whether in Willy Chavarria’s politically charged tenderness or Amiri’s romantic view of retro glamour, designers leaned into clarity; clarity throughout message, identity, and tone. Theatricality remained part of the conversation, but it was tempered by purpose.
Across the board, these collections spoke to the shifting priorities of modern menswear. Garments were looser, but more considered. Color was bolder, but worn with care. Craft was everywhere, but so was meaning.
