Top 10 Spring 2022 London Fashion Week Shows

As Ranked by Kenneth Richard

With the city’s unique status as both a horde of almost-mythical history and a hotbed of contemporary cross-cultural influence, London’s fashion scene stands at the crossroads of sartorial tradition and progressive modernism. This felt especially apparent during this season’s return to in-person shows, which saw many designers use the opportunity to refine their signature styles, while others looked forward to new design horizons – but the best shows balanced both ends of this spectrum.

Simone Rocha deconstructed traditional feminine codes to create a provocative yet beautiful ode to motherhood, while Roksanda nailed a joyous exploration of abstract-expressionist upcycling. Erdem takes home the top spot with its soulful, narrative-focused collection that celebrated the history of London fashion while shaping its future.
