This year in London marked both a cause for celebration and a time to reflect and renew: the 40th anniversary of London Fashion Week arrived in the midst of a difficult financial landscape for established and emerging brands alike.
The British fashion capital delivered on both of these fronts. Perhaps what was most exciting is that many of the week’s best collections came from the independent and upcoming designers who make up our Standout category. From Dreaming Eli’s provocatively beautiful balance of the distressed and the delicate to new experiments in draping from Standing Ground and Jawara Alleyne, the legacy of London as one of the most eclectic and forward-thinking fashion hubs is in good hands.
S.S. Daley takes home the top spot with a show that not only continued to evolve the designer’s whimsical yet thoughtful reconsideration of upper-class British codes, but successfully launched his first full womenswear collection.
Here are The Impression’s picks for the the Top 5 Standout shows of London’s Spring 2025 season as selected by our Editor-in-Chief, Kenneth Richard.
