Tory Burch Appoints Joëlle Grunberg as President of North America

Tory Burch has appointed Joëlle Grunberg as President of North America, marking a key leadership move for the American luxury brand as it strengthens its presence across its largest market

Grunberg joins from McKinsey & Company, where she was a partner in the firm’s Retail, Fashion, and Luxury practice. Based in New York, she will oversee retail, e-commerce, and wholesale operations across the U.S. and Canada, reporting to CEO Pierre-Yves Roussel. She succeeds Christophe de Pous, who is departing the company.

“Joëlle is an accomplished executive with deep industry expertise,” said Roussel. “Her growth mindset and proven record in driving customer engagement and omnichannel performance align perfectly with our strategy for the region.”

Tory Burch, the brand’s Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, added: “Joëlle shares our sharp focus on the customer and understands the importance of connecting storytelling to both the store and digital experience.”

Grunberg brings decades of international leadership experience, having previously held executive roles at Wolverine Worldwide, Lacoste, and Galeries Lafayette, and currently serves on the French-American Chamber of Commerce Fashion and Luxury Advisory Board.

“I’m thrilled to join one of the most iconic American fashion houses,” said Grunberg. “As the brand continues to accelerate, I look forward to helping shape its next chapter alongside Pierre-Yves and Tory.”

Since launching in 2004, Tory Burch has expanded to 125 stores across the U.S. and Canada, alongside a strong e-commerce platform and selective distribution in leading department stores including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus.

Grunberg’s appointment underscores the brand’s focus on sustainable growth and elevated customer experience — balancing Burch’s original vision of accessible luxury with a modern, omnichannel approach to fashion retail.
