Event Highlights Emerging Designers Across Multiple Categories
Tory Burch was named Designer of the Year at the fourth annual Fashion Trust U.S. (FTUS) awards ceremony, citing her influence on contemporary American fashion and her efforts in supporting women-led businesses. Pamela Anderson presented the honor while wearing a custom outfit created by Tory.
“Tory encourages everyone to follow their passions and take risks,” Anderson said. “She’s my kind of rebel.”
Ego Nwodim served as host for the event, which focused on rising American designers in ready-to-wear, jewelry, accessories, graduate, and sustainability categories. Finalists in each division were awarded grants along with a year-long mentorship program aimed at expanding their brands.
