The Luxury Fashion House Bolsters Its Executive Team with a Veteran Marketer
Casablanca Paris, established by Charaf Tajer in 2018, has announced the appointment of Txampi Diz as the brand’s inaugural Chief Marketing Officer. Diz, a seasoned figure in the fashion industry with a notable tenure in Paris, will join the luxury house’s team this month, marking a significant addition to the company’s executive lineup.
Diz’s career in the fashion industry spans over a decade, with a background that includes serving as Vice President and partner at KCD’s Paris offices, where he worked with numerous designers and fashion houses. In 2017, Diz took on the role of Balmain’s first Chief Marketing Officer, pioneering the brand’s marketing and communications team and leading a series of entertainment-focused marketing initiatives that broadened the brand’s visibility and facilitated its growth. Diz’s departure from Balmain last month paved the way for his new position at Casablanca Paris.
Casablanca’s CEO, Frederick Lukoff, expressed enthusiasm for Diz’s appointment, citing his impressive track record and shared vision for pushing the boundaries of luxury fashion as key factors in the decision.
“It didn’t take long to realize that Txampi was the perfect fit for us,” explained Casablanca CEO Frederick Lukoff. “Of course, we were already aware of his history of overseeing some very memorable runways, collaborations and campaigns. Then, once we began talking with him, it became very clear that Txampi shared our determination to keep pushing boundaries while we change expectations of what a luxury house looks like today—and that’s what completely sealed the deal.”
Charaf Tajer, Casablanca’s founder and Creative Director, also shared his excitement about collaborating with Diz, emphasizing the importance of Diz’s extensive experience and vision for the future of Casablanca Paris.
“I could not possibly be more excited,” noted Diz. “Obviously, Charaf, Frederick and the rest of the Casablanca team have impressed me with the house’s recent collections and the company’s rapid growth. And I knew that this was the right role for me when I learned more about their strategy and goals for the years to come. I’m looking forward to working alongside them, as we build Casablanca’s marketing team and move the house towards that compelling future vision.”
Diz himself is eager to start his new role, attracted by Casablanca’s recent achievements and growth trajectory. He looks forward to contributing to the brand’s marketing strategies and working towards the realization of its future goals.
This appointment comes as part of a broader expansion of Casablanca’s executive team, which also includes recent hires Marc Schmidt as Chief Digital Officer and Ludovic Le Gourrierec as Chief Commercial Officer, rounding out the leadership team poised to steer Casablanca Paris into its next phase of development.
