Versace celebrates its iconic signature style with a campaign appropriately starring two iconic actors: Anne Hathaway and Cillian Murphy. The stars were lensed by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Shooting in both color and black and white, the photographers capture each star in minimal studio portraiture, putting the emphasis on Versace’s distinct vision of classic sophistication and, more importantly, the impactful presence of these two contemporary icons. While Anne Hathaway has been established as a Versace muse and needs no introduction, this is Cillian Murphy’s first outing for the house. As a leading man of the moment – made all the more intriguing by his total lack of social media presence – he brings an additional dose of buzz to the campaign, yet feels totally natural wearing these clean and classic looks with nonchalant charm.
