Victoria Beckham Names Sybille Darricarrère Lunel as CEO

The Executive Previously Served in Leadership Roles at Dior and Galeries Lafayette

Victoria Beckham has appointed Sybille Darricarrère Lunel, previously with Dior and Galeries Lafayette, as the new chief executive officer of the London-based fashion company.

Effective July 1, Darricarrère Lunel will succeed Ralph Toledano, the acting CEO, and will operate from the company’s London headquarters.

Victoria Beckham, the founder and creative director of the brand, expressed her enthusiasm about the new appointment. “I look forward to having a strong, creative, smart woman with an entrepreneurial mindset and energy by my side. I look forward to leading this company with Sybille and having her knowledge and respect for product, and her experience in the industry, to help us go to the next level,” Beckham stated.

Darricarrère Lunel brings extensive experience from her recent role as the global business unit director of leather goods at Christian Dior Couture. In this position, she managed the global product assortment across five collections annually, coordinating with teams in creative, production, sales, retail, and communications. Before her tenure at Dior, she served as the general merchandise and buying director at Galeries Lafayette, covering various departments including womenswear, menswear, accessories, lingerie, and children’s wear. Her earlier career includes several years in planning and merchandising at The Kooples.

David Belhassen, founder and managing partner of NEO Investment Partners, a significant minority stakeholder in the business, also supported the new leadership. “With Sybille, that moment is now,” he said. “Her sharp understanding of product, combined with her drive, makes her our perfect partner to write the next chapter for Victoria Beckham — one of ambition, creativity and high profitable growth.”

Darricarrère Lunel expressed her admiration for the Victoria Beckham brand and its founder. “I have always admired the Victoria Beckham brand’s feminine, elegant and modern style, which empowers women. I have a deep admiration for Victoria’s work, her sincerity, her creative vision and her attention to detail. I look forward to collaborating with the talented teams who have achieved remarkable success alongside her, as we begin building exciting new chapters together,” she said.
