Willy Chavarria & Wayman + Micah Co-Host  Met  Gala 2025 Afterparty

Styling Duo Wayman + Micah Join Chavarria and Tequila Don Julio for Post-Gala Event Marking “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”

Following the 2025 Met Gala, designer Willy Chavarria teamed with Tequila Don Julio and stylists Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald to host an afterparty at The Mark Hotel. The event followed the annual fundraiser’s spotlight on “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition exploring the role of Black tailoring and identity through centuries of fashion.

The gathering brought together a range of guests from entertainment, fashion, and music, including Charli XCX, Taraji P. Henson, Shaboozey, Jeremy Allen White, Law Roach, Keith Powers, Willow Smith, Dascha Polanco, Coco Rocha, Noah Lyles, Maluma, and Leon Bridges.

Guests were served signature cocktails from Tequila Don Julio, including the Chavarria Rosa. The Mark’s well-known hot dog cart, Haute Dog, received a branded update for the evening, serving Jean-Georges’ hot dogs alongside Tequila Don Julio 1942 Minis.

Music was provided by DJ Marco Neves, with the event photographed by BFA. The afterparty took place at The Mark Hotel, located at 25 East 77th Street in New York City.
