Woolrich announced its first Black Label Collection designed by Todd Snyder. The new collection will bring together Woolrich’s rich heritage as a storied American brand with the contemporary and timeless aesthetic of America’s leading menswear designer. Several of the Fall-Winter ‘24 styles debuted as part of the Todd Snyder runway show at Pitti Uomo 105 in Florence and will be presented at the Woolrich Showroom in Milan today January 13th, during the fashion week.
The Black Label Collection consists of two different lines – Heritage and Technical.
Heritage features sophisticated and luxurious takes on iconic styles from Woolrich’s 190-year history, including the rugged wool Buffalo Check Shirt updated in a refined cashmere and a refresh of the Woolrich Arctic Parka, a style once worn by Admiral Richard E. Byrd, the leader of the first American scientific missions to the Antarctic. Some Heritage Collection standouts for Fall ‘24 include a number of styles that were traditionally developed as hard-working field clothing, but Snyder has reinvented for the modern-day sartorialist. These key looks include The Military Trench that has a merino shearling lining and a creamy white leather exterior. The Quilted Down Hoods are edgy accessories for cold weather looks. A traditional fisherman’s sweater becomes The Marled Cable Knit in a salt-and-pepper color with a cowl neck that can seal the wearer in from the elements.
Plaids, long a part of Woolrich’s DNA, are taken in a new fashion-forward direction and find their way onto Cashmere Over Shirts with matching shorts and ties. Classic base layers including Henleys, Turtlenecks and Long Johns are also given some polish in an Italian cashmere yarn.
It felt very fresh to start with rugged outdoor styles and then refresh them in more modern silhouettes and luxurious fabrics

Technical marries high-performance materials with Snyder’s signature sartorial flourishes. The collection is designed to meet the high technical standards of serious outdoorsmen, while being chic enough for city dwellers who mix field clothing into their unique personal style. Two different full-length parkas from the fall collection embody the Technical aesthetic. The first, The Birch Parka, has a shimmering drip-dyed nylon exterior that looks like an abstract painting of a birch forest. The nylon exterior from the legendary Olmetex mill is quilted onto a high pile sherpa interior. The second is The Ripstop Parka in a Bright Olive. It has a 750 down fill power rating. The result is a lightweight, warm puffer jacket that is a perfect way of standing out while fitting. The Ripstop Parachute Pant is based on a vintage military style and finished in an Italian nylon. Rounding out the technical offers are several Alpine Boots, functional yet luxurious with shearling interiors and suede or leather exteriors.
The more I’ve worked on the Technical line, the more I’ve been excited about designing clothing that can handle the demands of the great outdoors and be the statement pieces in a city wardrobe
