Y-3, the longstanding collaboration between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas, celebrate the relaunch of its iconic Qasa High sneaker with an appropriately minimal and stylish new campaign for Spring 2022.
Initially launched in 2013 – 11 years after the brand’s founding in 2002, when Yamamoto approached Adidas with the idea of the collaboration and created a radical, highly influential fusion of high fashion and sportswear – the sneaker was an instant hit and one of the collaboration’s most sought after pieces. Now, as the brand celebrates its 20th anniversary and looks back on its archives, the Qasa High is lovingly reissued.
The campaign channels Y-3’s intersection of Japanese design heritage, avant-garde, and sportswear while keeping things crisp and simple, capturing the sneakers alongside head-to-toe Y-3 looks in a minimalist industrial space.
