Zimmermann announces the opening of their new boutique in Scottsdale’s iconic Fashion Square on Saturday – the city’s premier retail and lifestyle destination. The exquisite year-round-weather – a perfect match for the Zimmermann lifestyle –along with Scottsdale’s natural beauty and iconic architecture, made the destination a natural next choice.
“We have a wonderful following from local clients, so it’s great to officially be a part of the Scottsdale community and invite clients to experience Zimmermann in a more immersive way. While designing the store, we were influenced by the greater context and personality of the area, whilst looking to bring a little something from Australia. Inspired by the vibrancy and upbeat spirit of the area, the boutique’s unique showcase of creativity and craftmanship with a distinctly Australian touch allows clients to experience the world of Zimmermann. The store itself is highly curated, showcasing art and furniture from around the world and occupying 167 square metres, designed in partnership with Studio McQualter.
Upon entry to the space, clients are met with a grand façade; warm rendered walls on the exterior, custom designed entrance doors and handles and standout display windows with bullnose trim and distinctive metal signage. Moving through the space, an enhanced circular layout seamlessly interconnects three separate retail areas, combining runway, collection and accessories with a luxurious lounge and adjacent fitting rooms. Each area is carefully curated to deliver a unique client experience and linked through common touches like Italian green and grey terrazzo, mosaic tiling floors, bespoke kilim rugs in mint and oatmeal hues, custom wall mirrors and integrated lighting.
The ample lounge and fitting room area provides a space for clients to relax while perusing. The area features Mid-century French sitting armchairs with mustard upholstery and ivory piping, complemented by honey-hued parchment wall lights and a pair of Gio Ponti sconces. Marble and river stone warm green terrazzo tiling, double backed curtaining with a lush Javanese garden print and curving ‘coved’ ceilings give the space a distinctive feel. Contemporary art, sculptures and ceramic pieces adorn the walls and floors. Key pieces include an assortment of vases, expressly and purposefully designed for the store by Australian ceramicist Nori Lindsay, alongside sculpture ‘Standing Man with Cup’ by Stephen Bird.
The Zimmermann Scottsdale boutique will open with the Fall ’23 collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week alongside the recently unveiled campaign featuring Vivienne Rohner, and the Summer Swim ’23 collection, bringing the brand’s signature vision of fun, femininity, and optimism to one of the most exciting luxury shopping destinations in the country.
