Fendi Unveils Limited-Edition Peekaboo-K Book on National Handbag Day
In commemoration of National Handbag Day, Fendi has chosen to unveil a limited-edition book, “Peekaboo-K,” dedicated to celebrating the iconic Fendi Peekaboo bag’s 15-year journey since its inception in 2008.
Crafted from the genius of Silvia Venturini Fendi the Peekaboo bag seamlessly marries simplicity with eccentricity. Silvia notes, “Simplicity is the real eccentricity,” emphasizing the bag’s whispered luxury. She initially intended to name the bag ‘Hide-and-Seek’ due to its unique design which allows a surprise reveal of its luxurious interior when its turnlock closure is twisted.
The Peekaboo-K book is not just an ode to the bag but an object of discovery in itself. The cover, inspired by the colors of the Rose Black PeekabooISeeU bag, encapsulates timelessness and sophistication. Inside, readers are treated to a curated collection of 80 bags from Fendi’s archive. The volume is segmented into four insightful chapters, each presenting a visual portrayal by renowned global photographers, coupled with reflections from Fendi family members and ‘Friends of the House.’
The chapters delve into various facets:
- Revising textures: A tribute to the Peekaboo’s versatility, boasting over 1,000 material finishes.
- Canvas: Showcasing collaborations with global architects and creatives who’ve reimagined the Peekaboo.

Guests can anticipate vibrant contributions from personalities like Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, Austrian artist Isabelle Wenzel, and singer-songwriter Chloe Bailey, among others.
