The “Denim Daydream” Collection Was Given a Special Early Launch Event
Ralph Lauren and Naiomi Glasses celebrated the release of their upcoming collaboration with a special meet-and-greet event at Malouf, an iconic boutique on the plaza in Sante Fe, ahead of the Santa Fe Indian Market. The “Denim Daydream” collection was showcased, with over 100 fashion enthusiasts attending to shop the latest drop on the Ralph Lauren website.
The collection, inspired by Glasses’ fascination with rodeo culture and Navajo lifestyle, features a range of denim and indigo-hued styles that riff on Ralph Lauren’s signature aesthetic. Pieces include western shirts, skirts, jackets, coats, clogs, jeans, baseball caps, and saddle blankets, priced between $168 and $1,298.
This marks the third and final collaboration collection between Ralph Lauren and Glasses, following the success of two previous releases. Glasses also curated a selection of jewelry from various artisan families in the Navajo Nation, Hopi Pueblo, San Felipe Pueblo, and Zuni Pueblo.
At the event, Glasses donned pieces from the collection, including a blue velvet blouse and printed full skirt, accessorized with silver and turquoise jewelry. She expressed her excitement about sharing the collection with the world, highlighting her love for indigo hues and intricate patterns in the designs.
The collaboration also supports Creative Futures Collective, benefiting creatives from underrepresented communities. Ralph Lauren aims to shift from inspiration to collaboration with communities that have influenced their designs, as part of their Design With Intent initiative.
Additionally, the Santa Fe Indian Market features the Indigenous Futures 4Ever in Fashion Summit and Fashion Show, as well as the Southwest Association of Indian Arts group fashion show, showcasing Indigenous talents in the fashion industry.
