The House’s Third Canada Location Joins The Royalmount’s Lineup of Luxury Brands
Louis Vuitton has launched a new store in Montreal housed in The Royalmount, a newly developed shopping center that is set to house the city’s broadest array of luxury boutiques. It is also the biggest private development in Quebec. Louis Vuitton shares the space with several luxury brands, including Gucci, Tiffany, Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Versace, and Longchamp, as well as more accessible fashion brands like Zara. Half of the retail space at The Royalmount was inaugurated on September 5, with the rest slated for phased openings.
The Louis Vuitton store at The Royalmount offers “a full suite of the maison’s métiers,” including men’s and women’s accessories, leather goods, ready-to-wear, and shoes from the Fall 2024 collections, as well as fine jewelry, fragrance, gifting, publishing, and travel offerings. The store showcases both seasonal and timeless styles, interactions with hot stamping, and engraving services to personalize leather goods and fragrance bottles with customers’ initials.
The company announced that the store will feature Louis Vuitton’s most recherché items during the grand opening, including bespoke bags with exotic finishes and iconic hard-sided trunks, that display the complete Louis Vuitton universe.
The store is distinguished by a two-toned limestone facade, a reference to the maison’s trademark Damier pattern, a design by Louis Vuitton himself from 1888. It stands as the only Louis Vuitton store in North America featuring this construction. The company shared that the interiors are warm and inviting, offset by petrified wood, shell, and stone, complemented by a select collection of vibrant contemporary art. Custom pieces from Lautaro Cuttica, Heidi Spector, and Benna Holden make the showrooms vibrant.
The store also houses a work by Canadian artist Jonathan Forrest. In contrast, century-old advertisements and catalogue entries from the Louis Vuitton archive in Paris are featured across the store’s walls.
The Royalmount branch, which opened its doors on Monday, marks Louis Vuitton’s third freestanding location in Canada, following stores on Bloor Street in Toronto and in Vancouver. Louis Vuitton also operates boutiques inside Holt Renfrew stores nationwide.
