Reviving a brand legacy at Madison Avenue: Jimmy Choo introduces flagship boutique with revamped aesthetics
Jimmy Choo is making a comeback on Madison Avenue, setting up its new flagship store a few blocks away from its previous location. The new boutique introduces an updated retail design with an exclusive environment and shopping experience for each Jimmy Choo store.
The flagship store is adorned with selected vintage furniture such as mid-century seating by Luigi Pellegrin, Antonio Citterio and Móveis Cimo, and artisanal designs like collectible lighting by Tommaso Bertocco and Kueng Caput. These carefully selected pieces, chosen by interior designer Nebihe Cihan, aim to showcase the brand’s artistic sensibility and seasonal offering.
The retail space is structured as a trio of salons, which includes a VIP room. Designed to give an illusion of entering a jewel box, these rooms feature fine materials such as walnut, travertine marble, velvet, ceramic, and hand-worked glass. The brand’s distinctive purple hue, ‘Winter Bloom,’ features in carpeting and key fixtures throughout the store.
Judging the new design as authentic to the city, Hannah Colman, Jimmy Choo’s CEO, said, “The furniture and design objects have been carefully curated to complement our storytelling and create a joyful environment for our clients to experience.”
Aside from the winter 2024 collection, the boutique will also carry items such as eyewear, small leather goods, soft accessories, fragrances, and jewelry, along with an edit of the Wedding Collection.
Customers can also avail themselves of the brand’s made-to-order service, where they can personalize various bag and shoe designs with color, material and finish enhancements. Following the store’s opening, customers will also have a limited-time opportunity to win Jimmy Choo accessories by selecting from an assortment of supersized holiday crackers. Participants will receive a box of branded chocolates.
