The Best Holiday Campaigns of 2024 as chosen by The Impression’s Editorial Team
While in many ways this season continued the post-Covid trend of playing to smaller production budgets and shorter attention spans with simple campaign videos and still-life imagery, a few resonant campaigns revived the holiday marketing era of cinematic grandeur. Foremost among these were John Lewis, who crafted a moving holiday odyssey that went to the heart of the meaning of gifting, and Saint Laurent, who partnered with director Nadia Lee Cohen to create a series of six richly realized short films inspired by Proust’s In Search of Lost Time.
Other campaigns told stories through an excellent approach to casting. Agent Provocateur cast the real-life married couple with a unique celebrity status, Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch, in a playful and provocative cautionary tale about not forgetting the importance of date night amid the holiday bustle. Bergdorf Goodman, meanwhile, drew on the talents of the inimitable Natasha Lyonne.
Other brands confidently relied on sheer originality and visual power. Coperni saw holiday celebrations from a dog’s point of view with a playful campaign that featured the season’s best tagline. Diesel lampooned the extremes of holiday excess. Jacquemus put a seasonal self-care focused twist on its clever format of bite-sized video puns. And Loro Piana served up a simply gorgeous set of imagery that captured a spirit of connection against the beauty of winter landscapes.
Here are The Impression’s picks for the best holiday campaigns of 2024, as selected by our editorial team.
