The Academy Award-Winning Director Brings an Imaginative Spin to the Joys of Winter
On December 21, the Winter Solstice – the shortest day of the year and the official commencement of the winter season – Moncler Grenoble shared its collaboration with esteemed filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino for a short film titled “Winter Can’t Wait.” The film, directed by the Italian Academy Award-winner, serves as an exuberant tribute to the joys of the winter season, encapsulating themes of love, togetherness, and the festive spirit.
Set against the vivid, technicolor backdrop of Moncler Grenoble’s heritage ski and mountain wear, “Winter Can’t Wait” showcases the season’s delights through Sorrentino’s distinctive blend of artistry, humor, and emotion. The narrative explores connections forged through shared experiences on the ski slopes, albeit with an imaginative twist. The protagonists mimic outdoor winter sports such as climbing, skiing, and snowboarding indoors, creatively bringing the essence of the mountains into their home while eagerly awaiting the first snowfall.
Known for his visually arresting and thoughtful cinematic works such as The Great Beauty and The Hand of God, and television series like The Young Pope, Sorrentino brings his signature style to this festive campaign, promising viewers a unique celebration of the winter season.
