We’ll Always Have Paris
Review of AMI ParisFall 2025 Men’s Fashion Show

THE COLLECTION
THE VIBE
Classic. Warm. Refined. Functional.
At a moment in fashion when many brands seem to value designing for the algorithm more than designing for real life, Ami continues to breathe a refreshing realness and simplicity into French luxury. With his Fall 2025 collection, Alexandre Mattiussi continued his straightforward ode to refined Parisian classics while subtly introducing a relaxed and texturally exploratory sensibility.
Suiting anchored the collection, but its typical formalism was loosened up through a voluminousness that emphasized the way the materials cocoon and move with the body. The styling, too, supported the blurred interplay of formal and casual: these characters are stylish Parisians we might pass in the late afternoon as they effortlessly transition from office to aperitif.
An unexpected but exciting rawness crept in through the intentionally unfinished seams on a sleeveless jacket or a silk dress. Shaggy woolen coats threaded in a touch of opulence. Quietly experimental structural moments included an elongated, buttonless riff on the classic shirt and layered wool pants.
While mostly consisting of creams, neutrals, and earth tones, the palette was occasionally punctuated by shimmering golds and soft pinks, like a sunset over a cityscape. For as familiar as these garments seem, there is a sense almost of majesty to the way Mattiussi reimagines how it can feel to wear them.
THE DIRECTION
THE WRAP UP
Mattiussi is always consistent to his core vision of a warm take on classic Parisian chic, and this collection was no different. While introducing subtle structural evolutions and thoughtful plays on material, he delivered his customer exactly what they want: refined clothes for real life.
