Review of Paul Andrew Fall 2026 Ad Campaign by Creative Director & Photographer Luca Khouri with model Laura Morgan
Paul Andrew has changed the distance. Fragments of Memory, the house’s Fall 2026 campaign, turns the art-school energy of recent seasons toward a more subdued and composed fashion register. Creative Director Paul Andrew and photographer and campaign creative director Luca Khouri place longtime collaborator Laura Morgan inside a Milanese apartment defined by pale light, black tailoring, stone, glass, and open space. The shift feels deliberate. Earlier experiments often foregrounded collaboration, surreal invention, or the people behind production. This chapter concentrates that curiosity into the act of looking. The images carry greater polish and a steadier pulse, allowing Andrew’s designs to occupy the visual center with unusual clarity. It is an evolution in confidence, with experimentation disciplined into point of view.
Khouri’s most persuasive device is proximity. The sequence moves between distant views of Morgan and frames that place the shoe almost within the viewer’s grasp. A green satin pump crosses a balcony railing above Milan as though attached to our own leg. Water beads on skin beside a Murano glass heel. A black slingback rests against pitted stone, its silhouette isolated for inspection. These perspectives echo the choreography of shopping: lifting, turning, checking the toe, tracing the heel’s construction, and imagining balance. The product becomes tangible because the camera lets us study it. Rear Window supplies the architectural premise. Its influence finds fresh expression as the spectator’s position shifts. We begin outside the scene, then occupy the wearer’s viewpoint. Observation gradually acquires the intimacy of touch.
This restraint is the campaign’s strength. It gives square toes, underslung heels, glass panels, and satin bows space to assert their craftsmanship with little explanatory theatre. At moments, the white apartment, black wardrobe, and severe poses approach a familiar high-fashion vocabulary. The bodily fragments, tilted angles, sudden balcony view, and flashes of emerald, fuchsia, gold, and red preserve Andrew’s particular appetite for sensual construction. That individuality will matter as the house continues along this more composed path. The imagery needs to retain the friction between polish and curiosity, since polish alone can flatten memory into mood. Here, the balance largely holds. Andrew lets us see the shoe as sculpture, evidence of craft, and an object we might turn over in our hands. The campaign begins at a distance and ends somewhere personal. Its most convincing fragment of memory is physical: the shoes feel close enough to remember.
