Acne Studios launches a capsule collection of key summer pieces. With a futuristic view of nature, Acne Studios releases the first drop of the High Summer capsule. Emblazoned with acid hues and distorted prints of bleeding flowers, the capsule collection celebrates growth and evolution.
The collection, consisting of womenswear, bags and accessories, distills some of the hero concepts originally seen in the runway collection in Paris, from February. Archetypes of wardrobe classics are reimagined bring together natural and artificial in a constant tension of contrasting ideas. It’s a game of hard versus soft as sheer, delicate fabrics with frayed hems clash against painted, crackled leather. This juxtaposition continues in the colors too, with shades of green and blue meeting earthy tones.
A focus is on the prints, which take inspiration from flowers and other elements of nature that splash across dresses, pants and skirts. Silhouettes are entrenched with fluidity – including the elongated, maxi dresses and puddle trousers as well as the slashed, asymmetric hems of mini skirts.
