Alexandre de Betak to Debut Solo Art Exhibition

Alexandre de Betak, founder of fashion show production studio Bureau Betak, will present his first solo gallery exhibition in November at Salon 94, the Upper East Side gallery founded by Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn in New York. Titled “Truss Lights Sculptures 01,” the exhibition will feature two series of sculptural light works that translate elements of runway production into an artistic practice.

The installations combine raw aluminum, bronze and prismatic glass to create reactive sequences of light. Their compositions draw on the trusses and stage lighting that have long shaped de Betak’s fashion shows, applying the technical structures of live production to sculptural forms.

Known for producing runway presentations and set designs for fashion brands, de Betak has increasingly developed a parallel fine-art practice. In 2025, he established an atelier in London dedicated to this work, marking a more formal expansion beyond fashion show production.

The Salon 94 exhibition places that practice within a gallery context, where lighting, material and spatial composition become the focus rather than the staging of a seasonal collection. It also reflects the broader movement of fashion-industry creatives into art and design, extending the visual languages developed for runway and experiential environments into standalone works.
