Andrew Gn Closes His Eponymous Label

Andrew Gn went to social media to post a bidding au revoir, to the fashion world for now.

“After 28 years in fashion, 80+ collections and over 10.000 pieces of clothing designs all drawn by my own hand, I’m bidding goodbye.

From my early years as a young designer written up by Sally Singer in American Vogue, my works displayed in the legendary windows of Colette, till my spectacular retrospective exhibition at the Asian Civilisations Museum in my homeland of Singapore, it has been an eventful and successful journey.

This success I owe first to all the women from around the world who have loved my work, encouraged me and supported my creativity by wearing my designs. It has been an incredible blessing to be loved like that.

All this would not have been accomplished without the fantastic team who has been behind me all along, working as a compact and highly performant squadron. Huge gratitude and thanks to Isabelle, Sophie, Sylvie, May, Rosario, Laura, Nikita, Pascal, and others before them…
I’ve always considered it a luxury to be able to do something that I truly love as my career. Throughout these 28 years I’m proud to have been the guardian of the ANDREW GN name, achieving international recognition with our very own resources. This was infinitely precious because it has enabled me to create exactly the way I wanted.

I’d like to spend the following years continuing to build ANDREW GN legacy, and giving back in as much I can.

This is not an adieu, but an au revoir, the beginning of a new chapter of my life.”
