Maxwell Osborne, designer and founder of anOnlyChild, unveiled a denim capsule collection in the form of a live photoshoot and summer celebration.
With a new sense of discovery and an homage to Americana, anOnlychild explores the world of denim for their latest capsule collection. Taking from the brand’s staple pieces, the collection reinterprets signature silhouettes such as the double pleated pants, deep v-cut tops and wide legged trousers.
We wanted to keep the styles classic and play with the idea of an all denim collection.
– Maxwell Osborne
Each piece is hand washed and dyed locally in Brooklyn and is one-of-one, made entirely of singular deadstock denim from the US, staying true to the brand’s ethos of making something from nothing. Shot by Max Papendieck and styled by Marion B. Kelly, the backdrop resembled a vintage living room, referencing 90’s nostalgia and giving viewers the feeling of “home”—a consistent message for anOnlyChild.
The new denim capsule collection debuted at anOnlyChild’s Summer Studio Session—an ode to New York City, bringing together a diverse community and allowing guests to take part in the world of anOnlyChild through a summer celebration. Guest experienced the creative process of a live photoshoot from start to finish at Neighbors BK, and enjoyed a cookout, curated pop-up shops, domino tournaments, DJ sets, cigar and tattoo parlors, and a special marching band performance.
