Antoine Arnault Spotlights Italy as LVMH’s Les Journées Particulières Returns

The sixth edition of Les Journées Particulières puts eight Italian sites in focus, including Fendi’s Rome headquarters and a decade-long Maria Grazia Chiuri retrospective

Antoine Arnault presented the sixth edition of Les Journées Particulières in Milan, confirming that LVMH’s open-doors event will run October 16 through 18 across 65 sites and 45 maisons in 11 countries. Italy claims eight participating sites this year, an allocation that reflects the country’s standing as the group’s second-largest market and signals continued investment there even as the broader luxury sector navigates uneven demand.

Fendi will open its Quadrato della Concordia headquarters in Rome with an exhibition covering a decade of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s couture work, timed closely to her Fall/Winter 2026-27 debut collection for the house. Loro Piana will welcome visitors to its Ghemme site in Piedmont, now under the direction of Frédéric Arnault, whose role there offers a small but telling data point on how the next generation of the Arnault family is being positioned across group houses. This year’s theme, “At the Roots of the Dream,” centers on nature, culture, and craftsmanship, with international debuts including Celine’s prêt-à-porter atelier in Paris and an archive opening tied to Paris Match. LVMH ambassador Antoine Dupont visited group ateliers ahead of the event to help prepare teams for public visitors.

Arnault was also asked about the Armani group during the Milan presentation and declined to commit to a position, a soft non-answer worth tracking rather than treating as news in its own right. Between Frédéric Arnault’s expanded visibility and the pointed non-comment on Armani, the event reads less as a straightforward heritage showcase and more as a quiet signal of how LVMH is managing succession questions and expansion speculation simultaneously.
