Burberry & Vestiaire Collective Teams Up for Exclusive Resale Initiative

Burberry unveils its latest sustainability effort through a pioneering partnership with renowned resale platform, Vestiaire Collective. This collaboration allows both UK and US clientele to exchange pre-loved Burberry outerwear and handbags on the Burberry x Vestiaire Collective platform for a Burberry gift card.

The process is straightforward: customers can offer their pre-loved Burberry pieces for an appraisal. Once they agree on the provided valuation, the items are sent to Vestiaire Collective for thorough authentication and quality assessment. Successful transactions culminate in the customer receiving a Burberry gift card. This global initiative not only recirculates pre-loved luxury items but also expands the available inventory on Vestiaire Collective to a broader audience.

Moreover, as a gesture of goodwill and continuous community support, Burberry has generously contributed a curated set of women’s Heritage Trench Coats to the platform. Proceeds from the sale of these iconic pieces will benefit UK’s Smart Works, a charitable organization dedicated to offering top-tier interview attire and training to job-seeking women. This endeavor aligns with Burberry’s historical support for Smart Works since 2013, ensuring women are equipped and empowered to step into the professional realm.

Burberry’s illustrious 165-year legacy in luxury fashion underpins the essence of durability and timeless elegance. This collaboration seamlessly fits within the ‘ReBurberry’ initiative, highlighting both brands’ shared commitment to sustainability and circularity. The program’s goal is to extend the lifecycle of products, resonating with Vestiaire Collective’s vision of reshaping the luxury sector towards a more sustainable and circular future.

We are very excited to team up with Vestiaire Collective to provide another way for our customers to give new life to their Burberry pieces. In building on our existing circular initiatives, including our aftercare services through our ReBurberry programme, we hope that these pieces can continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.”
