The Retrospective at La Galerie Dior Highlights the Photographer’s Work for the House Through the Decades
La Galerie Dior in Paris is hosting a tribute to renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh (1944-2019) with a special exhibition running from October 17, 2024, to May 4, 2025. Supported by the Peter Lindbergh Foundation, the exhibition features more than 100 photographs showcasing Lindbergh’s work with Dior creations over three decades, from 1988 to 2018.
The exhibition spans ten rooms and highlights the creative interplay between Lindbergh’s iconic imagery and the designs of Christian Dior and his successors. Visitors will encounter photographs from celebrated editorial series for publications such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as previously unseen contact sheets and reading prints. One of the key features of the exhibition is an exclusive photo shoot Lindbergh conducted in New York in October 2018, marking the first time these images have been displayed publicly.
“This exhibition is a marvelous homage to the powerful inventive vision that unites the Maison and the photographer: the celebration of the singular beauty of women,” a statement from Dior reads.
The Dior/Lindbergh exhibition is on display at La Galerie Dior, located at 11 rue François-Ier in Paris.
