The multi-city pop-up initiative reproduces Jonathan Anderson’s Fall/Winter 2026 show set rather than reinterpreting it, extending the collection’s launch moment into four retail markets at once
Dior has opened a series of pop-ups across China that recreate the staging of Jonathan Anderson’s Fall/Winter 2026-27 women’s runway show, held earlier this year in Paris’s Jardin des Tuileries. Titled Parisian Gardens, the installations appeared simultaneously in Beijing’s Sanlitun district, Shenzhen Bay’s MixC mall, and MixC locations in the second-tier cities of Xiamen and Shenyang, transforming commercial retail space into a version of the runway environment itself.

The pop-ups reproduce specific elements of the original set rather than offering a loosely themed Parisian mood, including a pond referencing the octagonal basin that anchored the runway staging and water lily motifs tied to the collection’s visual language. Dior is using the spaces to showcase Anderson’s key leather goods introductions, among them the Lady Dior, Dior Promenade, Dior Toujours Hobo and Dior Archie, alongside a new capsule built around a Dior Heart motif timed to launch ahead of Qixi, China’s Valentine’s Day holiday in August.
The initiative reflects a broader shift in how luxury houses are using pop-up retail in China, moving away from generic seasonal theming toward high-fidelity reconstructions of runway moments themselves, treating the retail environment as a continuation of the show rather than a separate marketing layer. By staging the same set across four cities rather than concentrating the experience in a single flagship market, Dior is also signaling confidence in demand beyond China’s top-tier cities, extending Anderson’s debut season narrative into secondary markets typically reserved for lighter retail activations.
