Jonathan Anderson’s Debut Cruise Collection will be set against Peter Zumthor’s new David Geffen Galleries
Dior has confirmed the location of its Cruise 2027 show, with the house set to present Jonathan Anderson’s debut collection at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on May 13.

The show will take place on the grounds of LACMA, framed by the institution’s new David Geffen Galleries designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Peter Zumthor. The highly anticipated building, marking Zumthor’s first project in the United States, is scheduled to open on April 19 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a preview period for members ahead of its public debut in early May.

The selection of LACMA underscores Dior’s continued alignment with cultural institutions and architectural landmarks, while reinforcing Los Angeles as a key destination for destination shows. The presentation also marks a significant moment for the house, as it will be the first cruise collection by Anderson since his appointment.
Dior’s decision comes as luxury brands increasingly focus on the U.S. market as a driver of recovery following a prolonged slowdown. Gucci and Louis Vuitton are also set to unveil their Cruise 2027 collections in New York later in May, highlighting the strategic importance of the region.
The L.A. show builds on Dior’s recent investment in the U.S., including the opening of its Rodeo Drive flagship designed by Peter Marino last year, further strengthening its presence in one of the industry’s most influential markets.
