Review of Fabiana Filippi Fall 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Susanna Cucco with Photographer Josh Olins with model Grace Clover
The Fabiana Filippi advertising campaign for Fall-Winter 2022-23 celebrates “Essence”.
Inspired by the powerful ethos of the Brutalist movement whereby the reaction to past beliefs of classic beauty propelled aesthetics into the future with the purity of concrete, Fabiana Filippi challenges the new season with a strongly evocative vision loaded with cinematographic climax.
Staged in a magnificent untapped concrete building designed by Oscar Niemeyer in 1981, the campaign was shot by British photographer Josh Olins and features model Grace Clover.
The futuristic tone set by the ambiance of the location is reflected in the images projected towards the future in a quest to capture the essence of contemporary aesthetics.
The softness of the female figure wearing the collection is in contrast yet in harmony with this graphic concrete setting. We see the protagonist in a sophisticated long off white coat made from noble fine yarns over a ton sur ton ribbed dress, a brightly-hued silk midi chemisier with matching accessories and enveloping luxurious cashmere in the form of a cape, one of the brand’s signature pieces.
The colour palette of the collection goes from black to white with warm nuances in between. Accents of bright colours ranging from burnt burgundy, brown, pink, mustard yellow to beige, nudes and off-whites.
