Ferragamo Appoints Pierre La Tour as CFO

La Tour Succeeds Alessandro Corsi and Brings a Broad Range of Financial Management Experience

Ferragamo has announced the appointment of Pierre La Tour as its new chief financial officer, effective March 18th. La Tour succeeds Alessandro Corsi, who departed Ferragamo in September to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer at Italy-based MinervaHub.

With a wealth of international management experience primarily in publicly listed companies, La Tour previously served as the Group CFO and Investor Relations Officer at Biesse Group, which designs, manufactures and distributes systems and machines for processing construction materials in various sectors. Noteworthy clients of Biesse Group include prestigious names in both Italian and international design.

La Tour, a graduate in economics from the University of Geneva in Switzerland, commenced his career in the nonprofit sector with the Aga Khan Foundation, where his work in microfinance spanned across Geneva, Pakistan, and India. Following a stint with Société Générale, he joined the Fiat Group in 1997. His notable roles include serving as CFO for Iveco Defence Vehicles in 2008 and later as CFO for the Specialty Vehicles business unit within CNH Industrial in 2014.

In 2015, La Tour assumed the role of CFO China for Shanghai-based CNH Industrial before joining Biesse in 2019.

“I am delighted to welcome Pierre La Tour to our team,” said Marco Gobbetti, CEO and general manager of Ferragamo. “I am sure that his international profile and diversified experience will be a great added value for our Group.” Gobbetti joined Ferragamo from Burberry in January 2022, tapping Maximilian Davis as creative director for the brand two months later.

The announcement of La Tour’s appointment was made at the close of trading in Milan, where Ferragamo is publicly listed. The Florence-based luxury company is set to unveil its preliminary 2023 revenues on Thursday, providing further insights into the brand’s financial performance.
