Gucci Sponsors Exclusive Event for “Tyler Mitchell: Idyllic Space”
On Thursday, June 20, Gucci hosted an exclusive celebration at the High Museum of Art for the opening of “Tyler Mitchell: Idyllic Space.” The event, featuring Tyler Mitchell and notable guests such as Kimberly Blackwell, Molly Blustein, and Antwaun Sargent, highlighted more than 30 artworks from Mitchell, seamlessly blending fine art and fashion photography. This major exhibition marks a homecoming for the Atlanta native, celebrating his return with friends, family, and collaborators.
Guests were treated to a private preview of the exhibition, mingling in the Robinson Atrium with cocktails and small bites. The evening continued with a seasonal, Southern-inspired dinner in the Taylor Lobby, where Tyler Mitchell welcomed his supporters and expressed his gratitude. Candace M. Stanciel, Chief Equity Officer for the City of Atlanta, presented Mitchell with a ceremonial letter from Mayor Andre Dickens, acknowledging his impactful contributions to the conversations on race and equity through his art.
The event also underscored Gucci’s sponsorship of the exhibition, reflecting its long-standing relationship with Tyler Mitchell. Mitchell has previously photographed several campaigns for Gucci and collaborated with the brand’s Gucci Changemakers program, supporting social impact initiatives.
