Gucci Teams with Artist JR to Celebrate the Oscars at 16th Annual ‘The Party’

Gucci Celebrates the 96th Annual Academy Awards With With Artist JR Capturing Party Attendees in His Own Unique Artwork

Gucci celebrated the the 96th Annual Academy Awards through a special partnership with artist JR at “The Party” – the famously star-studded after party that is now in its 16th year.

Co-hosted by Madonna, the celebratory event held at her manager Guy Oseary’s home, is the final destination on Hollywood’s biggest night. While no photography or social media is allowed, artist JR captured a series of artisanal portraits of some of the party’s most iconic attendees. From Robert De Niro posing with himself to Salma Hayek luxuriating in a pool of packing peanuts, the portrait series puts a fun twist on the ideas of celebration and celebrity.

Nominees and select attendees left the evening with a custom monogrammed travel duffle from Gucci’s new Valigeria Fluo collection. The collection features Gucci travel icons reimagined with neon piped details, launching April 2024.
