Hermès Store Opening In Wuhan

Hermès Store Opening In Wuhan

After a somewhat dark chapter in its history, Wuhan appears to have more or less recovered, and Hermès steps in with a sparkling new location for some healthy retail therapy. The luxury retailer chose a new two-level position at Wuhan Plaza 66, which is now regarded as the city’s leading high-end shopping center, to coincide with its tenth anniversary in the area. The renowned store for the luxury brand on rue du Faubourg St.-Honoré serves as a major source of inspiration for the interior design by Paris-based architecture firm and longtime partner RDAI. The store’s exteriors, both outside and inside, are coated in modern ceramic tiles with an ochre color to reference the brand’s recognizable packaging. Customers will find flooring made of complementary ochre and brown marble inside, as well as sparkling pieces that honor the Yangtze River, which runs through the city.

There are no less than sixteen different Hermès product categories represented on the premises with a wide range of individually manufactured rosewood furniture and accessories. The bamboo wall panels that line the stairway have openings in them, allowing light to enter the center of the ground floor and form spinning shadows. The women’s ready-to-wear and footwear space overlooks are located upstairs together with the home collection. Here you may also find the company’s renowned leather items, men’s clothing, and shoes. The ground is covered in carpets that vary in color from deep pink to light pink and from turquoise to sand. Each product category is readily differentiated from the others while still being seamlessly related because to the vivid and varied colors. The V.I.P. area has walls covered with hand-painted silk fabrics, while the jewelry section has woven wall coverings in the Japanese manner. Along with the launch of the new Hermès location, certain extremely rare items—such as a pink Kelly Doll bag and a Picotin Lock Micro bag with flower print—are also being made available.
