The Basquiat Estate Partnered With the Retailer and Fashion Brand for a Tribute to the Iconic Artist’s Work
The Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat has partnered H&M and the design duo Ev Bravado and Tela D’Amore – better known as the creators behind Who Decides War – for a collaborative collection featuring the work of the iconic American artist.
While his style is always instantly recognizable, the collection draws on some of Basquiat’s lesser-known work, taking a particular focus on certain paintings that reference music. Best and D’Amore work these references into their own design language of streetwear and distressed denim, including of course their signature stained-glass window motif.
The collection is set to release in H&M stores from July 18th.
